About the Project
MCS-X9
Delivery of new facilities in regional Queensland, enhancing operating capacity with MCS-X9 systems.
For more than 75 years, the Friendly Society Private Hospital — proudly known as The Friendlies — has been a trusted name in healthcare for the Wide Bay region. This 142-bed not-for-profit hospital is home to 500+ dedicated staff and 40+ specialists, performing more than 750 procedures every month. Services span cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, intensive care, rehabilitation, and day surgery, all delivered in modern facilities including a Cardiac Investigations Unit, Critical Care Unit, and large Day Oncology Unit.
Delivering new facilities in regional Queensland brings unique challenges, from legacy building conditions to the added complexity of sourcing trades and equipment in rural areas. At the Friendly Society Private Hospital, Mediflow overcame these barriers by supplying an MCS-X9 all-in-one system designed to reduce ceiling coordination and streamline delivery. The modular, prefabricated approach allowed the system to be integrated smoothly with existing equipment layouts, even within the constraints of older building infrastructure. By simplifying installation and validation, Mediflow helped the hospital achieve a faster turnaround, while providing clinicians with an upgraded, infection-controlled environment that supports advanced care for the local community.
