The upgrade at East Sydney Private Hospital came with significant challenges due to restricted ceiling voids and existing structural constraints. Traditional ceiling systems were not feasible. Mediflow delivered a slimline structural solution, integrating HEPA filtration, structural supports, and lighting into a low-profile unit. This not only solved the clearance issues but also simplified coordination across trades. The prefabricated design enabled commissioning to be achieved on the first attempt, reducing the program by 12 days and eliminating the typical headaches associated with complex certification. The result was a seamless handover and a smarter, more efficient pathway to creating world-class surgical environments.
