Lingard Private Hospital is the largest private hospital in Newcastle and the Hunter region, delivering care on a scale matched only by its reputation for quality. With 125 beds, 14 advanced operating theatres, two cardiac catheter labs, and a dedicated ICU, Lingard treats thousands of patients every year across orthopaedics, cardiology, oncology, and general surgery. Upgrading two operating theatres at Newcastle’s largest private hospital came with significant challenges. The project involved working within existing building conditions, requiring careful coordination around ceiling congestion, legacy infrastructure, and the integration of new mechanical, medical, and electrical (MME) services.

Mediflow overcame these hurdles by delivering dual X9 clean air ceiling systems, providing consistent, validated airflow performance in line with the hospital’s high clinical demands. The prefabricated, modular design simplified installation, reduced clashes between trades, and ensured compliance was achieved seamlessly despite the complexity of the site.
